SECRET’S OF CONSISTENCY
1. PEERS– Show me your friend and I will tell you the future that awaits you. Hold on a minute and check your circle of friends?
Do they inspire you?
Do you have the same drive?
Are they hardworking and goal oriented?
Are they disciplined?
Are they purpose driven?
Are they examples of who you like to be?
These questions and many more must be genuinely answered.
The reason a lot of people are not producing results is because of
wrong circles which cost them a lot including PROGRESS .
Read that again.
We are ultimately all products of influence whether we like it or not and who you spend time with will ultimately determine what you become as times goes on.
If you are friends with 4millionaires, you will surely be the 5th millionaire but if you are friends with 4 lazy people, you will most likely be the 5th lazy person.
Take it or Leave it
You need to be intentional about your circle.
I don’t encourage people to be lone rangers except it is for a short time but if that is what it will take for you to switch the kind of influence around you, please do.
Your friends are reflection of what you will eventually become.
2. BREAK DOWN YOUR GOALS– If you want to pieces a wood, do you do it all at once? The answer is No.
The reason people give up on the journey of consistency is because they don’t follow process’s and they go beyond their efforts.
Capacity is not what you develop within a twinkle of an eye but it is a deliberate slow and steady processed journey.
It has been said over and over that Rome wasn’t built in a day neither are great men made overnight.
You must learn to break down your goals into small achievable and measurable
points.
Atimes you need to go over them to see how far you have gone with them.
If it is 5 minutes you can do per day, then it is fair enough.
Over time, you will be able to increase to more minutes and eventually go multiple hours a day for you to be able to achieve all that you have set your heart to do.
Like we earlier said, consistency is about building a habitual nature.
Grow into that habit and you will be happy you did.
3. MENTORSHIP– Ever since inception, it has been made known that no man is an Island of knowledge and I have found this to be true.
Most of the time you need an external push to get to your destination in life.
I have noticed that the period in my life when I produce the optimal results are periods I have given myself over to a mentor to drill me.
The natural man is proud and feels he can do all by himself but at the end, disaster ends it.
There is only one person who is self-sufficient and it is only God who created us.
Mistakes are prone to happen but help of right mentorship allows you skip Excess mistakes and even makes you learn from those made .
4. REWARD SYSTEM– All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.
The mind needs some form of excitement and relaxation to function well.
Find out what really interests you and after achieving your goals for the day or for the week, indulge yourself.
Never indulge yourself until you are done achieving your goals for the day.
Atimes you might want to deceive yourself and say let me indulge myself first and I will eventually get to my goals.
90% of the time, it has been found that the method will never work.
So as you take this journey of consistency, learn to appreciate yourself and create a reward system that will make you happy.
The mind and body functions optimally when one is happy.
